The Energy Expo at the Roanoke Civic Center was already drawing substantial crowds at its opening this morning at 10 a.m., when these photos were taken. There was a large contingent of businesses and governments whose displays had a distinctly energy-friendly focus. The Expo runs until 6 p.m. and all day Saturday.
