If you didn't already have enough reason to send Republicans back under the rock they came from, here's the latest from a right-wing site: Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann, and Rick Santorum have signed a pledge to go all McCarthy on gay people if elected. You could have expected that from Bachmann and Santorum, who have traditionally been in the tight grip of the nuttiest of the nutty, but Romney is the closest these guys come to the slippery term "moderate."
I don't have a clue what gay people would be investigated for (the manifesto says it's for wanting to get married, but that couldn't be because Republicans are "pro family," right?), but the sheer fright of a candidate for President of the United States proclaiming to all who will listen that he will "investigate" any group or individual on this scale is unnerving and worthy of a little time in the hoosegow to think it over.
Meanwhile, that other champion of the oppressed, Newt Gingrich is telling Occupy Wall Street protesters to take a bath and get a job. My guess is they'd like to do both, but Republicans stripped our economy of millions of jobs under George Bush and have done exactly nothing to get any of them back--except blame President Obama for losing them.
I just don't get these people. Their species is foreign to me.
